The Great Debate

Each Spring semester, PSUEA hosts “The Great Debate” on campus where professor led student teams debate on a current economic topic. This is a great opportunity for students to work closely with the Economics Department and expand their research and communication skills. Over 800 students attended the 2018 Debate. Recent topics included illegal immigration and international trade.

New York City and Washington, D.C. Trips

The Association plans New York City and Washington, D.C. networking trips for its members each year. This past academic year, PSUEA members visited Goldman Sachs, AlphaSights, and Compass Lexecon in New York City in November. Additionally, members traveled to Washington, D.C. in April to visit the House of Representatives, U.S. Department of Treasury, Brookings Institution, and CATO Institute.

These trips provide members the chance to explore what they can do with their Economic degree and network with professionals in the field. More information about future trips will be available here in the coming months.
